One of the biggest illegal streaming services shuts down

Faced with pressure from judicial repression, Braflix has just stopped its activity. The illegal streaming site is officially shut down.

Legal offers are ever more numerous and require subscriptions whose prices regularly increase, not to mention those with single purchases. In fact, several illegal sites continue to emerge to attract, among other things, people who do not necessarily have the means to combine legal solutions and who do not want to resign themselves to making choices.

Among them was Braflix, a site that appeared last year and quickly attracted millions of users each month. It must be said that the latter offered a wide selection of films and series. As Torrentfreak reports, after the closure of Fmovies, the site apparently based in Brazil was placed in the crosshairs of the MPA (Motion Picture Association) and the ACE (Alliance For Creativity and Entertainment). This led to action by London law enforcement.

The threat must have been sufficiently convincing since the creators of the site preferred to close it. The original domain name now redirects to goodbye.braflix.is to display for one minute the explanation of the closure with the assurance that there will be no other site from them. It’s well and truly finished. Then, the site redirects to that of the ACE to provide legal solutions. What is certain is that the people behind Braflix have indicated that they have “too much to lose” and that it is not worth it to “continue to [se] fight for free entertainment”.
