An investigation is opened against the singer Slimane for sexual harassment

A technician of the singer claims to have received unsolicited pornographic messages and videos during a concert in Saint-Etienne, in December 2023.

The Saint-Etienne public prosecutor’s office announced, Thursday, November 7, that it had opened a preliminary investigation following the filing of a complaint for sexual harassment against the singer Slimane. A technician who worked on a tour of the artist during a concert in Saint-Etienne (Loire) in December 2023 filed a complaint recently, claiming to have received unsolicited messages and videos of a pornographic nature, according to his lawyer.

The prosecution confirmed at the end of October that it had received this complaint but was awaiting material evidence before opening a preliminary investigation. This was finally opened for “sexual harassment aggravated by the use of a digital or electronic medium”said prosecutor David Charmatz.

Singer Slimane, aged 35, is on tour for his “Cupid Tour”. In May, he took fourth place in Eurovision. A few days after the announcement of the plain, it appeared at the NRJ Music Awards, where he received the French-speaking male artist of the year award.
