The events allegedly took place after a concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne, on the night of December 17 to 18, 2023.
An investigation targeting the singer Slimane was opened for “aggravated sexual harassment” by the Saint-Étienne public prosecutor’s office on November 7, we learned. According to the complaint, it was after a concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne, on the night of December 17 to 18, 2023, that the victim suffered repeated attacks from the singer, for whom he worked as a technician. That evening, around 1 a.m., an alcoholic evening with Slimane’s team had already been in full swing for several hours, when France’s representative at Eurovision 2024 allegedly imposed a forced hug on this technician. Slimane then allegedly pressed him against a wall, under the gaze of several witnesses employed in the artistic team.

After leaving the evening in shock, the victim then took a seat in the tour bus, where she was preparing to spend the night. But his phone never stops ringing. According to the complaint, the singer Slimane then wrote around thirty text messages of a sexual nature to the technician, who is married, father of several children, and heterosexual. Two videos, described as “quasi-pornographic” are also sent to him, despite, once again, the victim’s repeated refusals to engage in such a conversation. The next day, he alerted the company that hired him. She immediately withdrew her employees from the tour, after a letter addressed to the singer’s team, denouncing the reported facts.
Successful singer
A few months after the alleged facts, last May, Slimane, 35, took fourth place in Eurovision with his song “My love”. Revealed by the talent show The Voice on TF1 which he won in 2016, he was at the top, during his duo with the singer Vitaa, in the album sales ranking in France in 2020 with their opus «Versus».
Their title “It’s coming, it’s coming” allowed them to win a Victoire de la Musique that year in the original song category. He is nominated in the category “French-speaking male artist” for the NRJ Music Awards 2024 which will be held on Friday.
