Gault&Millau unveiled the 22e edition of its Belux guide. In the most popular categories, the three regions of the country remain fairly represented. Glenn Verhasselt succeeds Maxime Collard as chef of the year.

En addition to being bilingual, the Belux edition of the Gault&Millau guide appears black-yellow-red in its cover and ensures that each region of the country is represented in the most popular categories. The title of chef of the year is thus won every other year by a Flemish or Walloon chef.
Chef Glenn Verhasselt of the restaurant Sir Kwinten, in Lennik (Flemish Brabant) therefore succeeds Maxime Collard, of the restaurant La table de Maxime, in Paliseul (province of Luxembourg) as chef of the year 2025. A “surprise” recognition for the young chef of 33 years old: “I would have expected to be here in ten years, but it happened a little earlier,” he rejoiced during the launch ceremony of the guide, which was held this Monday at Brussels Expo, in front of an audience of some 2,000 people.
