The star dancers Vincent and Bianca (seasons 1 and 3) have ended their journey of RevolutionSunday evening, following a nasty injury that occurred during the general.
The Ballroom dancers, who had a remarkable start to the season, were planning to take their energy level up a notch with the two numbers they had prepared for the Masters Challenge round.
“It was a decision that was taken a little forcefully, because I didn’t have the physical capacity, or even to get out of my bed. I was in really bad shape,” Vincent said during an interview with the QMI Agency.
“The physios explained to me that it was a muscle tear in my abdomen that pulled on my ribs and they came out of their cartilage. I have like two ribs that have come out of the cartilage. It created temporary paralysis of my rib cage,” confided the dancer.
For the couple, who had repeatedly declined production’s call to participate in the star season of Revolutionnot being able to present his numbers was as painful, if not more than the pain Vincent felt with his injury.
“We experienced the grief of not being able to present two acts that we loved very much. […] They were well built, strong, powerful, funny. They ticked so many boxes. We also had a nod to Jean-Marc [Généreux] on a number he did 30 years ago in our 45 seconds for the last chance clashes,” underlined Vincent.
“That’s what was the most painful for us. For creating a beautiful product that people will never see. We did all the work. The general was flawless,” he continued.
“Our choreography demanded a lot, especially for Vincent, physically. We even had a revolution where I practically walked on his wound… It really made no sense for us to go there anyway,” added Bianca, who for her part experienced a good moment with the feeling of helplessness in the face of to the situation of his companion.
To this day, Vincent is still recovering from his accident, although he is partially recovered. “The muscle tear is healed. I have mobility, but I still have fragility in my left ribs… there is like a looseness in my ribs. I am being followed by the physios, so there is hope that time will bring a total recovery, but it may be long,” he said.
Although they temporarily took a break from competitions, the duo still resumed their activities at their dance studio, the Avant-garde studio, located in Verdun.

Last year’s winner, Gabrielle, and her two partners, Jordan and Santiago, obtained the same final score, but, as the score of their revolution was lower, they had to defend their place during the clashes of the last chance.
A challenge that they easily met, just like the Clik troupe and the duo Sacha and Jhaime.
KYÔ and Rosalie and Oksana were unfortunately eliminated.
