Installed in Paimpol then in Guingamp, Jean-Louis Cleret has just opened its 5th gallery in the heart of the city in Lannion.

I had been in Guingamp for 7 years. But last year, I don’t know why, there were a lot fewer visitors. An opportunity presented itself here and I took it.

Passionate about art, before becoming a gallery owner, he was a photographer, videographer… “10 years ago, I changed to become a gallery owner. I am close to the artistic community. »

The colorful paintings of Charlotte Abécassis

Open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., its gallery welcomes art lovers, with whom Jean-Louis Cleret shares his passion, offering works for sale.

If he makes a living from the sale of the works, entry is free and everyone can come and admire the work of the artists, and who knows, fall in love with a work.

It already receives a few visitors who can discover the colorful paintings of Charlotte Abécassis, an artist currently on display. “I have been working with her for several years,” emphasizes the gallery owner.

Thematic exhibitions

His ambition for the next exhibitions is to do themes “with different works so that it can reach as many people as possible. With ancient artists and contemporary artists around the same theme, for confronting the ancient and the modern. Also, we will be able to find different forms of art: painting, engraving, lithography, sculpture, photography… Any type of plastic art.”

He is currently preparing his next exhibition for November. It is expected to continue until the end of the year.
