Zaho de Sagazan offers a private concert to residents of a retirement home

It was a surprise, and it was well kept until the few hours before the opening of the Z’électiques festival in Chemillé, Saturday November 2 in the evening. Its headliner, Zaho de Sagazan, came to give a private concert at the intercommunal hospital center.

Accompanying herself on the piano, the singer offered several of her hits including “The Symphony of Lightning”, which she previously explained. At the end of a twenty-minute performance, she finished with a new piece called “L’envol”. Then she wanted to approach the residents who gave her a symbolic flower to thank her. You are all wonderful. THANKS ! told them the artist who knows this environment well: before launching into music she worked for a year as a care assistant in a nursing home.

“Bringing life”

Justine Fradin, executive officer at the Chemillé EHPAD, specifies: The objective of this afternoon is to bring life to our establishment thanks to the partnership we have concluded with the Z’Éclectics. This allows our residents to open up to a creative and artistic discovery of current music. When I was contacted to propose a concert by Zaho de Sagazan, we could only be honored to welcome it.

This festival, which maintains local roots, managed to attract nearly 4,000 spectators to the Chemillé fairground theater on Saturday evening. A participation well below the hopes of the organizers, knowing that certain editions were able to bring together up to 7,500 people before Covid.
