Former essential face of the Canal+ sports department, Isabelle Ithurburu was the historic presenter of the Canal Rugby Club every Sunday on the encrypted channel. However, the journalist has decided to open a new chapter in her career in 2023. That year, the presenter chose to leave Canal+ to join the TF1 group. On the first channel, Isabelle Ithurburu took control of the weekly show 50′ inside. At the same time, the journalist also presented the 2023 Rugby World Cup Mag. During her interview with the famous blind singer, Isabelle Ithurburu notably mentioned the family of Gilbert Montagné, and more particularly his wife Nikole. As a reminder, the couple officially tied the knot in 1999. Father of two boys, the singer is the head of a large blended family with his partner's three children. When the journalist asked his guest of the day what would be the first thing he would like to see if given the opportunity, Gilbert Montagné did not hesitate for long. “I think that I would still like to see my wife's eyes, my grandchildren, all that. In the sense that you are so addicted to sighted eyes, (…) that's really abstract for me. But I think I'd like it to see how it feels.”he first revealed. The singer nevertheless made a point of clarifying immediately afterwards that eyes were not necessary to love.

The presenter then wanted to know if the singer's blindness could have been a hindrance in his relationship with Nikole. “I've never seen it like this before“, he replied. A little later during the show, Gilbert Montagné admitted to Isabelle Ithurburu that his daily life with his wife could sometimes prove a little difficult. He notably recognized that he did not certainly didn't do enough “stuff at home.” His wife also criticizes him for his lack of involvement in certain domestic tasks. “But she's right, I don't do enough dishes. It's not stuff that really appeals to me.”he finally concluded.
