On paper, Batman is supposed to fight crime. But this does not exempt him from respecting the highway code in order to avoid a big fine for speeding.

In fact, he did not go easy, we learned on Thursday, October 31, 2024 (Halloween). An individual wearing this costume was flashed at more than 200 km/h on the highway. That is 70 km/ above the authorized speed…

For the record, this gentleman was traveling alongside a lady dressed as Catwoman. We can imagine the surprise of the police during the check. Which echoed it on social networks (see Facebook publication below).

The newspaper The Ardennes indicated that the road check took place in Châtelet-sur-Sormonne (Ardennes), on the Rocroi plateau (Ardennes). The Porsche was immobilized and sent to the pound.

The gendarmerie report indicated exactly 203 km/h. The individual, a Dutchman, had his license confiscated. He nevertheless admitted his wrong, and posed with the gendarme (see the town on the map below).

Beyond the good-natured aspect of police communication, it is good practice to remember that speed limits are not there to annoy the world, but to avoid sometimes tragic accidents. Thus, the motorist risks a 1,500 euro fine and a deduction of six points from his license. Good for him if he gets away with a smile.
