The project is XXL. A top-of-the-range gym and a restaurant open to all. “Foodie”, this new brunch address has just opened in the city center of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), just behind the Galeries Lafayette.

A 100% homemade card and reasonable priceshere’s what you can eat there.

A restaurant open to non-FLEXX members

Marion Boyadjis and Pierre-Nicolas Baquet wanted to create a hybrid place, the model of which had never before been developed in Nice. FLEXX, a high-end sports and well-being club, has just opened in place of the legendary Brasseries Goerges. Another activity slipped into the project: a restaurant specializing in brunches and a coffee shop.

Basically, we wanted to create a restaurant for FLEXX, then we also wanted to bring it outside, by creating two rooms, so that one could be open to non-members.

Two brunch options

In terms of drinks, Foodie prepares fresh smoothies, juices pressed on site or even protein shakes in its kitchens for its sports clientele. Prices are between 3 and 22 euros. But brunch options are available.

“The little foodie” including a hot drink, a juice or iced tea and a pastries 9,50 euros. Then for the most hungry, “the big foodie” with a hot drink, a juice or iced tea, a granola or eggs of your choice, and a pastries for 19 euros.

“Everything is homemade, even the bread. The chef makes the bread for sandwiches, burgers and bagels. This is a real game changer. The ingredients are healthy and local,” explains the co-founder.

A “like at home” atmosphere

The menu could still be subject to some adjustments, particularly regarding quantities. “We say to ourselves that sometimes it’s even too much so for example for toast we will try to add less and ensure that it is less expensive for the customer.”

The decoration is intended to be cozy, cocooning, for a “like at home” effect. “We wanted a friendly place where we felt good. We went with slightly pinkish colors. It’s quite feminine but we didn’t want it to be too feminine either,” confides Marion.

The restaurant can accommodate 80 seats. It is open every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

2 rue Sacha Guitry, Nice 06000.
