Faustine Bollaert is used to giving the floor to the general public to discuss all the themes that may affect people.

For once, the subject of Monday’s show It begins today was aimed at artists who have learned to live with their flaws.

Emma Daumas, who was one of the guests, gave her testimony. The Star Academy season 2 candidate experienced, a few years after her adventure at the castle of Dammarie-lès-Lys, a depressive period with tendencies towards self-destruction, which “went as far as a toxic relationship with domestic violence », confessed the singer. “It’s the first time I’ve said it so I’m a little emotional. I wanted to say it, I needed to say it,” added Emma Daumas.

And if today “history is an integral part of (his) journey”, it almost ended badly. “I had to see myself die, and a friend tell me: ‘Actually, right now, you have to run away because otherwise you’re going to die.’ And when I had this awareness, it was the beginning of the survival instinct which makes us go back up.”

To resurface, the young woman clung to those close to her. “At the beginning, it was through my family, I reconnected with my family,” she explains.

The singer then traveled numerous times to Latin America, where she was anonymous. There she met new people who helped her rebuild her life. “I connected with people who didn’t look at me as a star at all. I recreated very sincere human connections,” confides Emma Daumas.
