Animated films for young and old, workshops and meetings with professionals: the program of Sister Cities Film Festival is dense and promises to be full of beautiful moments for all visitors.

This will be the second edition of this animated film festival, set up by the association of the same name, with the support of the community of communes. Screenings take place in Tréport (Seine-Maritime) and Mers-les-Bains () and other meetings are offered in the Sister Cities.

This association was created shortly before the first edition of the festival, which did not prevent the organizers from attracting a large number of visitors.

The festival is aimed at all ages, with matinees dedicated to young audiences, afternoons dedicated to films for families that appeal to children and adults and finally, evenings with films intended for adult audiences.

Meeting with directors

One of the highlights of the festival will be the cinema-concert Leaving schoolduring which a quartet of musicians will perform in front of a selection of animated short films.

“We will have the chance to welcome many guests, under the aegis of our guest of honor, the immense animation filmmaker, Jean-François Laguionie,” writes the festival team in a press release. Of the master class around the careers of directors Sébastien Laudenbach, Gilles Cuvelier and Eric Montchaud will also be offered, as well as a conference on the history of animated cinema.

During the festival, the Ensorcellée Caravan will crisscross the territory. “A real little traveling cinema, which will offer all audiences a selection of animated films” we can read in the press release.

“We hope that the public will take as much pleasure as we do in discovering this rich and diverse program which we wanted to be generous and for all audiences” conclude the organizers.
