“Téléchopine”: the new season of the Charentais de Groland

It’s the start of the second season of “Téléchopine”, Groland’s new series every Sunday on Canal +
A parody of the extremely famous “Télé Achat” by Pierre Bellemare, formerly on the first television channel. It is a Charentais, Calixte Rocheteau, well known in Charente for his shows with a Charentais accent, who caricatures the TV host whom he physically resembles. An actor who has already had several lives.

40 years at the Ruelle Foundry

Calixte Rocheteau was born 63 years ago in Villebois-Lavalette, where his parents were servants at the Château de la Mercerie, with the Réthoré brothers. He took to the stage at the age of 15, at the Villebois fair, “to act like a puppet”, as he says. He then wrote a show which is still very successful in Charente: the story of a Charentais, who speaks with a local accent, and who “goes to ” to succeed in the world of entertainment, with vocal caricatures singing stars. At the same time, he worked for nearly 40 years at the DCN (Fonderie de Ruelle), today Naval Group, as a quality technician, until his retirement in 2018. Horse racing and rugby columnist for the newspaper “La Charente Libre”, he was spotted by Bruno Delépine in the early 2000s, to play different roles: the mayor of Groland, the editor-in-chief of “L’Echo de Foulgneux”, then “Télétravailleureuses Télétravailleurs”, and now “Téléchopine”.
