Price hike for a trip to Disneyland

To the great misfortune of Disneyland fans, you will now have to pay more for park tickets at Disneyland and for annual passes to the Disney resort in California.

At least that’s what CNN revealed on Wednesday.

Park ticket prices at Disneyland increased 6%, while annual passes, known as Magic Keys at the resort in California, saw a hike between 6% and 20%.

The price of one-day tickets to Disneyland in high season has increased from $265 CAD ($194 USD) to $282 CAD ($206 USD).

And if you want to move from one park to another on the same day, you will have to pay an additional $89 CAD ($65 USD), an amount which has not changed.

The pass Magic Key “Imagine” saw an increase of $137 CAD ($100 USD), going from $683 CAD ($499 USD) to $819 CAD ($599 USD).

As for other passes, such as “Inspire”, “Believe” and “Enchant”, these have increased by $137 CAD ($100 USD) or $171 CAD ($125 USD), depending on the category.

The paid service which allows you to skip the line at the amusement park, also known as the “Lightning Lane Multi Pass”, has also increased by more than 6% per day and per person for the complex in California.

The price is now $44 CAD ($32 USD), an increase of three dollars.

Moreover, travelers who purchase it on the day of their visit to Disneyland could pay much more depending on demand.

CNN reports that pass holders Magic Key can now save 50% on the price of multi passes during the month of January.
