This is it: the Star Academy made his comeback ! This Saturday, October 12, Nikos Aliagas officially presented the fifteen new students of this third edition. Each in turn, the faces of this new season sang before the eyes of the teachers, but also of Pierre Garnier and the new godmother of the Star Academy 2024 : Clara Luciani.
Among them, Franck, a young man of 23 years oldoriginally from Congo. Arriving in Paris two years ago to study, he is now part of the casting of the Star Academy 2024 for his greatest happiness. After singing Celine Dion’s song, “Don’t leave without me”Franck burst into tears. But why?
He bursts into tears after a Céline Dion song
The stress was immense for Francksinging this Celine Dion song was so important to him. “I was very happy to sing it because the lyrics really speak to me”he confided to Nikos Aliagas’ microphone after his performance. However, if one scene stood out, it was that of the tears of the young boy, who has lived far from his loved ones for more than two years.
Indeed, in the teaser of his presentation broadcast just before his performance, Franck explains having left his native Congo to come and study in Paris. A choice which, unfortunately, has prevented him from seeing his parents since his departure. Necessarily, the production of the Star Academy 2024 couldn’t not surprise him. This is why, when debriefing his passage on the song “Don’t leave without me” by Celine Dion, Nikos Aliagas explained to the student that a small gift was reserved for him.
Two years without seeing his parents
“Be proud of yourself. I believe in you, Franck. Sing like you know how!”. These words are those of Franck’s parents, who left him a message which, inevitably, did not fail to provoke strong emotion in the young man. When you see them, tears flowed.
“Two years now” that Franck, the new student of the Star Academy 2024was unable to see his parents again. An emotion that Nikos Aliagas accompanied, confiding to him that from Congo, his parents will follow him and are already proud of him. This is enough to attract the public’s attachment after a sequence as emotional as this one!
