31 groups from Haute-Garonne, nine national and six international: no need for a photo finish, number 38 of Jazz on its 31 intends to highlight local artists and, more than ever, all the richness and diversity that jazz can bring.

Beautiful people

Subtitled “Haute-Garonne, Land of welcome / Land of meetings”, the 2024 edition, which succeeds the one which attracted 16,511 spectators last year, will provide tantalizing (sound) illustrations by showing rub shoulders with individuals as strong as But Sissoko, Vincent Segal, Emile Parisien et Vincent Peirani for a show, “Les Égarés”, named “best concert” at the Victoires du Jazz 2024, Sunday October 20 at the Halle aux Grains.

surprises

The impressive poster has some lovely surprises in store: the legendary and unmissable Staples Jr. Singerswill bring a breath of very seventies gospel to the Pavillon République on Wednesday October 16 (with a tribute to Dr John performed in the opening act by the group Mojo and its formidable singer Slim Paul).

The next day, we will return to the Pavilion to applaud the Madrid pianist Daniel Garcia and his trio, as well as another trio, that of Mark Prior. Let us quote again, the duo Géraldine Laurent & Laurent de Wilde (Saturday 12, Léguevin), Camille Bertault (Tuesday 15 in ), the marvelous Marion Rampal (Tuesday 15 at the Nougaro room) and Ana Carla Maza (Saturday 19 at the Aria de Cornebarrieu), or the excellent Thierry Di Filippo 4tet (Sunday 13, Longages).
