The reasons for Guigui’s temporary musical withdrawal revealed

Since the release of her album “Esprit” in 2020, Ramatoulaye Clémentine Sarr, known as Guigui, has put her musical career on pause. In an interview with L’Observateur, she explains that “personal reasons” are behind this decision. “There were deaths of loved ones that really affected me, which is why I decided to stop playing music temporarily. I preferred to make a small withdrawal,” she confides.

Although Guigui plans to return to the music scene soon, his current priorities lie elsewhere. She is involved in cinema, particularly with short film projects, and also devotes herself to writing. “I’m writing and looking for a producer to adapt my book ‘How I Survived Cancer’,” she reveals. Guigui, who describes herself as a singer, director, producer and screenwriter, wishes to reach a wide audience. “People are more interested in TV movies, which is why I would like this book to be made into a feature film,” she adds.
