“Disturbing disappearance. When the child appears”: Béatrice Dalle as a badass policewoman for France 2

Iris Koben (Béatrice Dalle) doesn’t like the sun or palm trees. She prefers the rain and the cold, the wind that whips the face and the wild nature. Police commander in the Pyrénées-Orientales, she grumbles after the good weather and takes pleasure, with her dog Escroc, in redirecting young delinquents.

Iris Koben is an aging woman, a bit badass. His intuition is based on listening, and on a detailed knowledge of human behavior. But when her lieutenant, Samuel Camurat (Roman Kolinka), warns her that Norma (Denitsa Ikonomova), a woman about to give birth, has disappeared, Iris is sent back to a similar case that haunts her.

She therefore begins to investigate and naturally heads towards Lino (Radouan Leflahi), the companion of the vanished young woman. “What do you think? That she went shopping in the middle of contractions? » throws Iris at Sam, her assistant. And to state the figures: 150 feminicides and 250,000 women victims of domestic violence each year in France.

“If I didn’t suspect the husband, I wouldn’t be in reality”she asserts forcefully. However, very quickly, she doubts and falters, because Lino “does not defend himself or even question himself”like the investigator, who must learn to think against herself.

When the child appears is the seventh opus of the collection Disturbing disappearance. La Grande Sophie composed the credits. In each episode, a female police officer takes charge of a missing person investigation. Time is therefore running out, and the stakes are high. Sara Forestier, Alix Poisson, Julie Gayet, Claudia Tagbo, Julie Depardieu followed one another, before the excellent Béatrice Dalle. Rhythmic, very nicely produced by Arnauld Mercadier, the series is a little gem.
