Keanu Reeves makes professional racing debut with crash

The actor took part in a car race in Indiana. Despite a brief exit from the track, he completed the course.

Keanu Reeves is expanding his range of activities. After conquering Hollywood, the Canadian actor made his debut in the world of professional car racing on Saturday October 5 by participating in the Toyota GR Cup in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As reported by the Associated Press, the star of Matrix went off the road at turn nine, just over halfway through the 45-minute race. He ended up on the turf without colliding and, after reporting that he was not injured, he resumed the race.

At his best, Keanu Reeves ended up 21st out of the 35 cars competing. He ultimately finished 25th. The actor of Speed had already participated in a car race reserved for celebrities as part of the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach (California).

When he’s not on a race track, the 60-year-old actor still spends as much time on film sets. A fifth episode of its action saga John Wick is in preparation, he will participate in the next film of Ruben Östlund (twice Palme d’Or at the Film Festival for The Square et Without filter) and will lend his voice to Shadow in Sonic 3.
