Shaken by “dating fatigue”, dating apps are now betting on finding friends

INVESTIGATION – From Bumble to Timeleft, many companies in the sector are tackling the loneliness of Internet users of all ages to help them form new friendships.

This is the new challenge of dating applications: not content with having succeeded in marrying millions of people, they now want to help their users make friends. Whether dating heavyweights like Bumble or Match Group (Meetic, Tinder, etc.) or young startups like the French company Timeleft, several players in the sector have chosen to focus on friendly meetings to diversify their activity.
