A free festival of world films is organized this Monday at the Kino-Ciné in Villeneuve – 05/10/2024

We already told you about it last year, and here it is back for a season 2: the “Festival Étudiant de Cinéma” will be held between October 7 and December 2 at the Kino-Ciné in Villeneuve-d’Ascq. It is called “student” because it is young people studying cinema who organize it, but it is open to everyone. And free as a bonus. We tell you just below.

It’s not every day that you can watch a film on a giant screen without paying anything. And what’s more, discover something that we’re not necessarily used to seeing in traditional theaters. This is what the Festival offers Cinema student.

Behind the organ we actually find the students·eforeigner·es of CLIL and students·es in cinema more generally, who choose a selection of films for you to discover.

This year the theme is “world cinemas”, so a priori, it will be an opportunity to travel from your seat. “Ceach one made it possible to highlight a country in order to present its language and its cinematographic landscape and thus promote its richness and cultural diversity“, narrates the orga.

In total, 9 screenings will take place at the Kino-Ciné (on the Pont-de- campus in Villeneuve-d’Ascq) between October 7 and December 2. It’s free for everyone, studying or not at all, you just have to reserve your place, we’ve put the link in the practical information. In addition, each broadcast will be followed by a debate so that everyone can exchange their point of view on the film of the day.
