Montauban. Opening of the exhibition of the Les Chevalets association

This Thursday at 6:30 p.m. the Les Chevalets association chaired by Pierrette Codji organized its opening at the Old College in the presence of many artists, guests and art lovers.

This is the 21st edition of the Chevalets de Montauban exhibition. Like every year, it is an opportunity for the association which includes 160 members to show the Montalban public the work of a year.

The 2024 edition welcomes around twenty participants, each artist presenting up to 3 works in the Chapel room (77 works in total). Most of the works are paintings (oils, acrylics, watercolors, fine inks). This year, five sculptors are also invited. Traditionally, each edition is an opportunity to highlight the work of a guest of honor. This year, the privilege goes to Françoise Nicco, president of Reyniès. She says she started with watercolor, which requires a particular technique that she acquired by taking lessons, then acrylic, and finally returned to watercolor. The latter, in a completely modest way, ended her speech: “Little by little, we are improving, and today I am proud to present my work.”
