Angelina Jolie continues to be talked about, not only for her artistic work, but also for her recent appearances with British rapper Akala. This weekend, the 49-year-old actress hosted a party in New York for her creative collective, Atelier Jolie, and among the guests, 40-year-old Akala was spotted. Photos from the event, shared on Instagram, also show the presence of the Oscar-winning star alongside Zoë Kravitz.
This isn’t the first time the duo has surfaced together. Two days before this evening, Akala had accompanied Angelina Jolie to Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, during the premiere of “Maria”, the actress’ new film, presented at the 62nd edition of the New York Film Festival. Their public appearances are increasing, fueling speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Sources told People magazine that they were just friends. However, “In Touch” puts forward a different version, claiming that Angelina Jolie and Akala have a more private relationship, which has lasted for more than a year. The first romance rumors emerged in May 2023, when the rapper joined the actress and her daughters, Zahara and Shiloh, at the Calabash Literary Festival in Jamaica.
Most recently, the duo was spotted together again, leaving a hotel in Italy during the Venice International Film Festival in August. These public appearances, although discreet, continue to fuel discussions, leaving doubt about the exact nature of their relationship.
