Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains unveil “Adorer”, taken from the future album “Âge Fleuve”

This pop is that of a singular and nomadic group, Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains, born in 2005 in Saintes, very far from the Moroccan Atlas Mountains but whose nuanced pop likes to rub shoulders with sounds from elsewhere, trance gnawas like German krautrock. A group which revolves around the personality of its founder François Marry, a literate songwriter, always listening to his existential doubts as well as to the noises of the world.

French group therefore but signed by one of the most prestigious English labels, Domino, the label of Franz Ferdinand and Artic Monkeys. In 2014, Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains was released Shadow Planea founding record of French pop of the 2010s. François Marry seems to have cast aside his doubts and is now solely responsible for the destiny of the project. He reconnects with a tender and luminous title, a joyful celebration of the present moment, with the complicity of Thomas de Pourquery on saxophone, eternity is now, so let’s make the most of it.
