The heyday of summer festivals is behind us, but the cultural events of the new school year promise beautiful moments of communion between artists and the Poitevin public. The editorial team has listed for you several concert dates not to be missed, in the coming weeks, but also some plays and other comedy shows that will certainly be worth the detour.

Shaka Ponk, Gim’s and Zaho de Sagazan at the Arena Futuroscope

A sign of the times, music is taking a large part of the cultural offering at the start of the season in . It must be said that several performance halls have wanted to give a musical tone to their programming, like the Théâtre auditorium de .

For the very first meeting in its venue, Wednesday September 25, 2024, the Tap will welcome La Maison Tellier. The group will pay tribute to the legendary album Harvestby Neil Young, as part of the Circuit, a festival dedicated to Poitiers students that will include 8 concerts, 3 DJ sets, 2 films and 2 shows, from September 10 to 25, in various locations in Poitiers. As for the Tap auditorium, it will notably host classical pianist Adam Laloum who will share the stage with the Hanson Quartet, on Tuesday, November 5, for a recital dedicated to Mendelssohn, Berg and Schumann.

Le Confort moderne will not be left out. Its season opens this weekend with the ten concerts of its back-to-school festival, Grand Mess. And, on November 16, it is a local boy, Malik Djoudi, who will come to present his fourth album entitled Alive.

With its Montgolfière Evenings, the La Blaiserie hall always has some nice surprises in store. This year, it is Poitevin Toma Sidibé who will open the show on Thursday, October 17, with songs from his new album, Dakanas part of the Osez la danse festival. The following month, the singer Hervé will also present his new album, Adrenalinein the Poitiers-Ouest performance hall (Thursday, November 14).

With its capacity of up to 6,000 seats, it is obviously the Arena Futuroscope that attracts the biggest national headliners, such as Shaka Ponk (whose final tour will pass through Vienne on November 14), Gim’s (November 16), Patrick Bruel (returning on November 26, after selling out the Arena last May), Zaho de Sagazan (who will return to Vienne on November 27, after memorable concerts at La Blaiserie in March, then at Civray in July) and Slimane (November 29).

Cali, Sniper and Ayo at Republic Corner

Finally, Espace Republic Corner in Poitiers continues to offer an eclectic musical programme ranging from the singer Cali (Tuesday 24 September) to the rap group Sniper (Thursday 12 December), via the singer Ayo (Wednesday 6 November), the Poitevins of Colours in the street (Thursday 7 November), the singer Tété (Thursday 21 November), the group Electro Deluxe (Thursday 28 November), the American bluesman Poppa Chubby (Saturday 30 November) and the indestructible Alain Chamfort (Wednesday 11 December).

Poitevin music lovers are definitely spoiled for choice.
