The unveiling of the Cannes Film Festival poster is always a moment awaited by moviegoers and collectors. We remember that in 2022, on the occasion of its 75th edition, a poster was offered to each accredited journalist, to mark the history of the Festival and of course that of cinema.

It was taken in June 1968 by Jack Garofalo during the filming of the film “La Chamade” by Alain Cavalier, on a pontoon on the beach of Pampelonne in Saint-Tropez, not far from the Croisette. In this film adapted from an eponymous novel by Françoise Sagan, Catherine Deneuve gave the reply to the late Michel Piccoli.
