After having cancelled his participation in the Delta Festival in Marseille, due to the shooting which cost the life of one of his relatives, on August 26 in La Grande-Motte, the Marseille artist will also not participate in the Reunion event.
After the Delta Festival, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, rapper SCH has cancelled his participation in the Francofolies de la Réunion where he was due to perform on 6 September.
“Due to the recent events experienced by the artist, we regret to announce the cancellation of the SCH concert scheduled for this Friday, September 6 at La Clairière. The information was communicated to us in the evening, this Tuesday, September 3, by his producer. Since then, our teams have been working hard to offer you a replacement that we will announce to you soon.”the organizers wrote on Facebook.
The “recent events” in question date back to August 26. A close friend of SCH was killed and another seriously injured in a shooting at dawn about a kilometer from the famous nightclub La Dune Club in La Grande-Motte (Hérault), where the Marseille rapper had just performed.

According to a source close to the case, the two men were in one of the vehicles used by the rapper when they were targeted by four people in another car. The passenger, who died, was hit by two bullets in the chest and the driver was seriously injured. About thirty shell casings were found at the scene by investigators. An investigation for “murder by an organized gang, attempted murder by an organized gang and participation in a criminal association with a view to preparing the aforementioned crimes” has been opened.
