A pensioner is on trial for a series of rapes committed by him and other men on his wife, whom he drugged without her knowledge, between 2011 and 2020. In the meantime, the Nanterre “cold cases” unit has linked this man to old unsolved cases, paving the way for new trials.

An exceptional case of chemical submission that has opened new avenues in old unsolved cases. The story of Dominique P, a pensioner with no previous history, who must answer to justice, starting Monday, September 2, for around ten rapes committed by him or by strangers on his wife, who was unconscious at the time. Between 2011 and 2020, the ritual was always the same: it involved drugging his wife without her knowledge until she was “close to a coma” and sexually abusing her. In the husband’s phone and computer: 20,000 photos and videos document the horror and will allow him to be caught. In total, 51 people are currently on trial in Avignon. In addition to the terrible case of the Mazan rapes, the brand new “cold cases” unit in Nanterre has found that Dominique P.’s DNA was present in old cases.
