Hockey fans watching the film “Oppenheimer” in the coming days might recognize one of the actors.
Indeed, the former small plague of the National Hockey League (NHL) Sean Avery has obtained a role in the latest film from director Christopher Nolan.

The 43-year-old man plays a meteorologist there, according to the specialized site IMDB. As the film does not come out in theaters until Friday, we do not know if the former hockey player has lines in this film which concerns the creation of the atomic weapon.
This is also the second time that Avery has played in a creation by Nolan. In “Tenet”, a film released in 2020, he played a soldier. However, it was difficult to recognize him, since his body was completely camouflaged.
The Ontarian was also in the distribution of the films “Amsterdam” (2022), “Blackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story” (2020), “Spree” (2020), “22 Miles” (2018), “Hunt in Boston” (2016) and “Maurice Richard” (2005), in addition to participating in numerous short films.
Avery retired from the NHL in 2012 after playing for the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Dallas Stars. He amassed 90 goals and 157 assists for 247 points in 580 games, but above all received 1,533 penalty minutes.
