Awek famous 30 years of blues with a birthday concert at the Autan de Blues festival on January 31 in Mazamet.
The Autan de Blues festival, 2025 edition, will welcome Awek, one of the most emblematic French groups of the genre, for an exceptional concert on Friday January 31 at 9 p.m. at the Apollo space in Mazamet. This concert is part of the “Swing & Lowdown Blues” birthday tour for the group’s 30th anniversary. Awek is 30 years of concerts around the world, 13 albums and more than 2,000 shows, a journey marked by unfailing dedication for a sincere and bewitching blues. Since its inception, Awek has continued to evolve, while retaining its original soul, respectful of the tradition and the simplicity of the genre. With this birthday tour, Awek plans to turn the page and hang up the guitar, which makes this concert all the more precious. In 2021, the group was inducted into the “Blues Hall of Fame Français” by France Blues. On stage, the group is made up of Fabrice Jussot (guitar, song), Joël Ferron (bass), Olivier Trébel (drums) and Stéphane Bertolino (Harmonica).
