It is a little after 7:45 p.m. and Sylvie Vartan, 80 years old, is standing on stage in front of an audience who are applauding wildly, throwing bouquets, shouting her first name. At the Palais des Congrès in Paris (17th century), this Saturday, January 25, she completes the third Parisian concert of her farewell tour. The der of the ders for which all its fans, coming from the capital, Lyon (Rhône) or Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), are making the trip.
Not one would have imagined not being there to see Sylvie, as they affectionately call her, “take her bow”, the subtitle of the show. Before entering the room, Florence keeps photographing everything. “It’s for my mother who couldn’t come. My parents are his first fans. I was lulled by his songs and my middle name is Sylvie. I saw her in concert here with them, I was 19! It’s important for me to be there, and there’s obviously a lot of emotion. I will probably shed a little tear,” she predicts.
