The Musanostra association kicked off its “Musanostra meetings” with a literary café which will be held on Friday January 24 at 6.30 pm, at the association’s headquarters, Place Vattelapesca, in . A first meeting to start this series of events which will continue throughout the month of January, placed under the sign of literature and intellectual exchanges.

The central theme of these meetings? “What will be the literary revelations of 2025? »» A time to reflect on future novels, literary favorites and a look at the place of island writings in the contemporary cultural landscape. According to Marie- Bereni Canadazz, association coordinator, “The discussions around works make it possible to confront points of view, to deepen the themes addressed in books, to awaken critical thinking”.

These events are also thought of as a real intergenerational place of exchange, strengthening social ties around a living and popular culture. The initiative benefits from the support of the city of Bastia and the Corsican community, which actively participate in the animation of this cultural program.

The literary café on January 24 will only be the start of a series of meetings. Friday, January 31, at 7 p.m., the Musanostra association, in partnership with the University of Corsica, invites lovers of literature to find the Catalan writer Joan-Lluis Lluis for a meeting around the French translation of his novel Junil. The author will be in conversation with Kevin Petroni, doctor at the University of Corsica, and in the presence of the writer Jean-François Roseau. This meeting will highlight the cultural dynamics between languages ​​and will create a rich dialogue between authors, experts and enthusiasts of literature.

The meetings will continue in the cinema with a “literary show” on February 7, in the heart of the Italian film festival in Bastia, where Jean Gili, specialist in Italian and historian cinema, will present his latest work on Vittorio de Sica. The entry is free for this event which will enrich the cultural programming in February.
