The director of the opera’s citizen project is proud of this solidarity concert, the proceeds of which are donated to the Lorraine cancer institute. Spectators are invited to make donations at the end of the charity performance. To raise awareness of the importance of this event, the management of the ICL responded, and the honorary vice president gave a speech at the start of the concert. For this good cause, the women’s choir and the opera orchestra have prepared a concert with a fairly rich program, allowing spectators to rediscover the best-known composers, as well as new pieces. Also note that this show was commented on by musicologist Cora Joris.
Mixing music and solidarity
Elise Nemoz is very proud of this partnership “longstanding” with the ICL: “The challenge of working with the ICL is to place opera on the territory of people who support causes that are close to our hearts”she explains. The director of the citizen project therefore attaches great importance to the month of solidarity, which will spill over into the month of March with the organization of a blood donation. During this solidarity period, the opera has planned nearly 7 events dedicated to a very wide audience including young children and people with disabilities. The opera has also planned a show in collaboration with the Nancy psychotherapeutic center, always with the aim of sharing joy and music especially in this period of solidarity.
