The adventure is coming to an end for Bamo Meïté. The Ivorian defender, recruited for 10 million euros from a year and a half ago, has never managed to win under the orders of Roberto de Zerbi. With only three appearances in Ligue 1 this season, combining a total of 24 minutes, his departure this winter now seems inevitable.

A significant absence in training

This Friday, two days before a crucial trip to , Bamo Meïté shone by his absence in the training of Olympique de Marseille. A remarkable absence which reinforces the rumors of his imminent departure, confirmed by several sources, including the Beom account on X. According to the latter, Meïté would be about to leave the club, failing to have benefited from a real chance to prove its value.

An under-exploited talent

Considered a promising player with an impeccable mentality, Bamo Meïté had however shown interesting things in summer friendly matches. Despite this, he was overshadowed by other players like Brassier or Garcia, often deemed less efficient by part of the supporters.

A departure to specify

If several Ligue 1 clubs, including , and , have expressed their interest, the methods of his departure remain to be defined. While OM would favor a dry transfer, interested clubs would lean more for a loan in order to relaunch the player. Anyway, the story between Meïté and OM seems to be coming to an end, leaving a bitter taste both for the player and for supporters.

Support from En Avant de Guingamp, the best of Breton clubs, I prefer to meet Yannis Salibur, Cristophe Kerbrat or Jeremy Sorbon rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos.
