Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin become AEW champions for the first time

A quick and efficient rise for Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in AEW since they are already champions.

At AEW Dynamite on January 22, 2025, Lashley and Benjamin defeated Private Party for the AEW tag team titles to win their first belts in the company. Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy gave their all to resist the attacks of the Hurt Syndicate, but Lashley and Benjamin were clearly too powerful. After several finishers, Private Party lost the match.

An 84-day reign for Private Party who surprised all AEW fans by dethroning the Young Bucks at Dynamite’s Fright Night special, December 30, 2024.

It now remains to be seen how far the Hurt Syndicate’s rise will go in AEW.
