ECHARLENS. The 8th Gruyère wood harvest will take place in Echarlens from February 13 to March 3. ForêtGruyère, its organizer, aims “to promote quality wood and rare species from our region through the shortest possible circuit,” explains the association in a press release. Suppliers – who have until January 31 to announce their woods – are “encouraged to present their finest logs, including original and rare species”. For the record, the last edition notably saw the exceptional sale of two curly sycamore maple logs, one of which reached the record price of 22,777 francs.
For the first time, wood suppliers and buyers will have to log in to the site www.timberworxs.de to participate in the stake. THE…
