You should not take everything you see on social media literally. Quebec families learned this the hard way by going to the cinema to see the film D’ado crisiswhich was mentioned in a publication by comedian Rachid Badouri. The problem? The film won’t be released until February 21.
Rachid Badouri is extremely popular on social networks. We had another good example of this these days when one of his posts featuring the comedian and his daughter went viral on TikTok and Facebook. In 24 hours, the little comic video smashed one million views on these two platforms.
In this video, we see Rachid’s daughter, Nayla Badouri, telling her father that she wants to go see the film D’ado crisis which has just been released in the cinema, according to her. When he sees on the poster that this family film is “without the parents”, the comedian hurries to take his daughter there and buy her a ticket.
Confusion among families
-Even though the video ends with the words “School break 2025” and “February 21,” several parents believed that the feature film was already showing, according to a press release from Ixion Communications. “Following its viral video, the film team also learned that Quebec families showed up in certain cinemas this weekend to see the film D’ado crisiswhile it is not on display this February 21 everywhere in Quebec, that is to say in a month,” we can read.
Directed by Marc-André Lavoie (Bluff, Hot Dog), D’ado crisis tells the story of four young people who try to find a lost cat, while being confronted by a reckless police officer (Réal Bossé) and a fallen guardian (Sonia Vachon).
