A day of music for a good cause. This is, in summary, the idea of Floriansinger of the group Hōrō-Sha (pop rock). The artist from Flers (Orne) proposed to Restaurants from the heart et Bocage solidarity to come together for the same event. The date chosen is February 1, 2025.

Musicians from Flers for a good cause

Accepting this idea did not take long for the leaders of the two Flers associations, Patrick Barbronco-president of Solidarité bocage and Olivier Chesnaisresponsible for Restos du coeur de Flers.

It’s a great solidarity action. We are bringing together two charitable actions with local groups who come for free.

The organizers even allow themselves to talk about a mini-festival. “It’s more of an open stage with musicians from the Flers region,” they correct.

I wanted to create a charity event for the benefit of Flers associations. I made the proposal in August and the meetings followed one after another.

“Never had a charity concert been organized in Flers,” admits Bruno Asselotdeputy mayor of Flers and solidarity delegate and president of the CCAS, who is associated with the event.

Need money for associations

Groups of different styles will make it possible to reach a fairly wide audience. “The idea is that we can come when we want, for as long as we want,” says Florian.

Free entry will allow associations to have a monetary entry Welcome. “Currently we do not have a drop of milk to offer to beneficiaries and we lack fresh vegetables,” admit the two associations in unison.

The first edition of a long series?

“For restaurants, the concerts will precede the March collection,” explains Olivier Chesnais. It is part of the rest of the winter for Solidarité bocage after a slimmed-down collection at the end of November because of snowfall.

The unifying event will undoubtedly have something to appeal to the inhabitants of Flers. “If it goes well, it will undoubtedly be the first edition of a long series,” appreciates Patrick Barbron.

If the enthusiasm of the musicians is the same for the public, the event soberly called “Charity concerts” should continue over time. All the harm we wish for associations.
