Saturday morning, nearly thirty people, including several local elected officials, came to attend the presentation of the new website of the Anna-Marly media library and the two youth libraries associated with it.
Some six thousand subscribers
For almost an hour, Séverine Angui, the head of the digital sector, made an exhaustive presentation of this new, resolutely modern tool, made available, since January 7, to the approximately six thousand subscribers of the municipal public reading center. . She also answered many questions.
The old portal was almost twenty years old… So, from the new home page, the visitor appreciates the contemporary style of the site and its intuitive nature. Access to your personal account is easy and allows you to have an overview of the agenda of meetings and activities offered by the three libraries. It is also possible to discover new releases, among the 80,000 references available, in books, comics, films or musical works…
Reserve a book online
-Return to the home page with a single click. The informed reader, who wishes, can also interact with the librarians, leave a review, suggest the purchase of a book not in the selection… or discover the staff’s favorites. The new website not only allows you to reserve books online but also to register for – and unsubscribe from – events, when registration is required. The site also has a powerful search engine and offers several links which provide access to the Facebook page, the newsletter or the Loiretek.fr digital platform of the Loiret departmental media library. And all this, from a PC, tablet or smartphone.
Although anyone can access the website, it is necessary to be registered to benefit from online services. Moreover, pre-registration is possible, from the site, which will become definitive when you go to the media library to receive the subscriber card.
At the end of the presentation, the participants were able, guided by Adèle Piantone, the head of the public reading center, and three librarians, to familiarize themselves, from a laptop, with the new site.
