Since November 22, Marie Penetro had entrusted some of her works to Mille Feuilles, the village media library. Some portraits of women, most of them taken without a model, which have won the admiration of the library’s faithful. Marie Penetro has been a painter for twenty years, she also devotes herself to sculpture, drawing, pencil, oil, watercolor. With a main theme which is femininity but not only since by sculpting marble, she presented the animal world. Originally from Fos, she generally spends her weekends in Val d’Aran. Lombez is his place of residence the rest of the time. She has her workshop there and she gives classes for adults. Moved by one of her paintings, Agnès Mérillot, the manager of Mille Feuilles, contacted the artist to introduce her to Ségoufiellois who do not yet know her. A sparkle in the eyes, a persistence that freezes beyond time, Marie Penetro’s portraits do not leave you indifferent. Everyone finds something to develop: “I don’t put titles to my paintings, so everyone can go wherever they want, I don’t want to influence”.
