Le festival Yggdrasil organise an XXL treasure hunt in to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Free, this will take place on Saturday January 25, 2025, ahead of the festival planned at Eurexpo on February 8 and 9.

The organizers promise “a unique and immersive experience”… on the theme of Lord of the Rings.

In search of the One Ring

“Everyone can participate, from 16 to 345 years old,” reassure the organizers. Like Nazgûl, participants will set off in search of a precious ring forged for the occasion “almost in the flames of Mordor” by the Lyon art jeweler Sylvain Nosjean.

This is a “unique, rare and authentic” official “Lord of the Rings” gold ring preserved in a box with a total value of €7,000. “You should expect to come across some very unusual passers-by in Lyon that day…” it is mysteriously indicated.

How to participate?

To join this quest limited to 10,000 participants, the Lyonnais will meet in Old Lyon the same day on Saint-Jean Square from 10 a.m. and until 7 p.m. for latecomers.

Once registered, each participant will be given four quests of four puzzles each, inspired by pop culture. A smartphone is required, it is specified. “Each validated quest allows you to enter your name for a first draw on Saturday February 8. Additional registration will be granted to those who come in their best cosplay or disguise. »

The ten winners of the first draw will be invited to the Yggdrasil festival the next day at Eurexpo. This is where will take place the final draw which will designate the big winner of the single ring. “You’ll have to be at the foot of the stage to win!” Lots of official Lord of the Rings items will be refurbished among them,” explain the organizers.
