There are 14 Academicians who will evolve in this immense New York loft-type space, which marks a definite break with the large houses in the countryside of past editions. It’s the biggest house of all seasons!

It is much larger than in Waterloo, where the Academy was located during previous editions, including the last one, in 2022. It is very modern and bathed in light, due to the huge windows, a signature of the buildings of the another era. The teams had a month and a half to transform the office space with a view to making it a living and learning environment that will make both Academicians and viewers dream.

There is a large living room and a very large dining table, a small kitchen, four bedrooms, a large classroom with a stage where the candidates will sit, another even larger space dedicated to practices and auditions, confessionals and even a terrace, without a spa this time, but from where the Academicians, all from the regions, will be able to nourish themselves with the energy of Montreal while observing the city center, the Jacques-Cartier bridge and the mountain.

The office of the Academy director, Garou, is inspired, among other things, by the series “Mad Men”.
Garou, the new director of the Academy, has an office to dream of, inspired among other things by the series Mad Men. The faculty composed of Émily Bégin, Véronic DiCaire and Pierre Lapointe will also be able to discuss with him.

There is even a terrace with a breathtaking view of downtown Montreal and the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in the new Star Académie. It is located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district, in Montreal.
They did not want to give us the figure for the investment necessary to transform the 5th floor of the commercial building on Boulevard Pie-IX where the Academy is located – above a grocery store –, but according to what was was said during our visit, the owner of the place is very happy with the transformations, the space having been completely revisited and redivided!
It was designer Andréane Beaudin who inherited the great challenge of decorating the Academy. Mission accomplished!

It is through these elevators that the Academicians will arrive directly in their loft.
