Friday January 10 at 8:30 p.m. took place, as part of the cultural season of the community of communes of the Lalbenque/Limogne region (CCPLL), a concert by the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra, in the Halle de Limogne cultural hall. The performance hall was full, we even had to turn away people, something rarely seen! Among the spectators were present: the mayor of Limogne Jean-Claude Vialette, the president of the Pays de Lalbenque/Limogne Jean-Claude Sauvier, Geneviève Dejean, vice-president for culture as well as Catherine Marlas, vice-president of the department and president of the PNRCQ.
Sonia Sempéré-Pélaprat, artistic director of the season, thanked the commitment of the musicians for always professionally carrying out their mission as artists, and saluted the Pays de Lalbenque/Limogne, which supports culture and allows the public to enjoy superb evenings like this.
The first part of the concert included Mozart’s symphonies in Divertimento K136, Symphony No. 40 or Little Night Music, which have captivated for centuries with compositions that embody the emotion of classical music. Then in the second part a completely different music: pop rock with Queen or Abba (the two legendary groups, one British, the other Swedish) on electric instruments for a return to the future. Something to please everyone in attendance.
-This concert magnificently performed by the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra proves its very eclectic musical knowledge, to the delight of the spectators. A first evening of 2025 in Limogne that leaves you wanting more and a magnificent program thanks to the Pays de Lalbenque/Limogne and its artistic director Sonia Sempéré-Pélaprat. The evening ended with a friendly drink.
The next show, Friday February 14, will also be a beautiful poster of French song. Laurent Madiot and Lucrece Sassela will play Georges Brassens. Mark your calendars!
