Fleurance. In front of nearly 800 people, La Fleurantine offered an explosive New Year’s concert

Each year, the assembly seems more numerous to give a standing ovation to the New Year’s concert given by the Fleurantine harmony. It amounted to around 800 people on Sunday!

The Orchester Sud- (Bazas) opened the ball by offering a completely different and assertive repertoire. Chef Gilles Dubard thanked for the welcome.

Then, it was La Fleurantine’s turn to speak. The presentations follow one another and are not alike. Yet the same cheerfulness and humor remain, always skilfully handled, today by Olivier Pouech. Vincent Blesz specified that the harmony presented four new Viennese pieces, praising the performance of the musicians who performed on the flute, clarinet and percussion pieces that are normally played on the violin! A difficult exercise since it goes beyond the usual context of traditional harmony , also praising the arrangers, those little hands who do all the work. The members of the office also do remarkable work all year round: the staging that we were able to see was superb, worthy of professionals.

The two groups finished together with the essential “Radetzky March” which was a real success, in a real fireworks display!

Upcoming concerts

The La Fleurantine harmony will be present at the Spring Concert in Quint-Fonsegrives, on Saturday April 5 at 8:30 p.m., under the direction of David Minetti, professional clarinetist at the Orchester national du Capitole de . She will also be in concert in Saint-Sardos on Thursday, May 8 and will give a Mother’s Day concert in Fleurance on Saturday, May 24 with the band Rivesaltes. Finally, La Fleurantine will not fail to participate in the Music Festival, on Saturday June 21, on the square in front of the Saint-Laurent church in Fleurance.
