Friday January 17, Angonia offers a special evening with David Malan, director of the company Hypermature. The artist is in residence in Angonia from January 13 to 18 for his show currently being created “Lino Diani, portrait of a failed artist”.
At 6:30 p.m., “Portrait of a Failed Artist”, residency exit. All audiences. This portrait is an assessment: saying goodbye to past failures, to leave room for our future failures. Alone on stage, David Malan comes to share with humor his study of “failure”. Based on an international sociological survey, the Hyper mature company is able to present us with a reflection on failure. Through a journey commensurate with the subject and its author! This new creation will not forget any field of failure: “ecological failures, romantic failures, pictorial failures and our vain sporting attempts”. He advocates the creation of an aesthetic school of second chances, recycles failed show scenes, for a complete analysis of the fiasco. Inspired by his personal reflections and nourished by his extrapolated experiences, he takes us on an adventure whose outcome we know nothing about!
At 7 p.m.: “Are you coming to my party?” Participatory dance show. All audiences.
“You come to my boom” is a fun karaoke dance party, created and led by a director, where the audience is encouraged to dance by the artist. To help him, he provides him with a warm-up, encouragement and congratulations… Above all, he offers him a crutch: video images to imitate. It works like karaoke but instead of singing, we dance. We dance to images taken from films in which people dance of course. Scenes from famous films, popular culture among others, to excite the audience. The device allows you to forget the other person’s gaze to overcome apprehensions when dancing. Costume welcome!
