Saturday January 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jean-Claude Brialy space, the Auscitaine circus company Point Fixe offers the premiere of its burlesque duo “Les Frères Cépareil”.
This company, Point Fixe, is made up of the first generation of Pop-Circus students who left to study circus arts at the Lido in Toulouse and at the National Circus Arts Center in Chalons. Between them, within various companies (Anomalie, Cirque Désaccordé, Cirque Melem, Collectif AOC…) they have toured the world several times and have been markers of current French circus.
Today, together or in a small group, they continue to invent shows with flavors of utopia and sweet madness.
For “Les Frères Cépareil”, Marco and Laurent Pareti came together on stage to form a funny duo, with a burlesque feel. If the circus itself is very little present, its spirit is never far away. This show offers a traveling “radio game” where, in the form of imitation, famous holiday tunes are revisited by greats of French-speaking song, but it is perhaps something else… Between frank parody and tender ironically, it’s a show where we laugh and we don’t take ourselves seriously.
