The Tal Coat exhibition at 21, bis Mirabeau

From January 29 to April 20, 2025, 21, bis Mirabeau offers you “Tal Coat. The image is emergence”, a free exhibition dedicated to the work of Tal Coat (1905-1985), a French painter and figure of the 20th century.

Tal Coat and Cézanne 2025

The Bouches-du-Rhône Department is joining forces with the Cézanne year 2025 by programming in its Departmental Cultural Space 21, Bis Mirabeau a unique exhibition which retraces the career of Tal Coat and his time in Provence in the 40s and 50s.

Pierre Jacob, his real name, lived at this time in the Pays d’Aix where he shared with Paul Cézanne, father of modern art, a sensitive and lyrical view of the Sainte-Victoire mountain.

Curated by the Berthet Aittouarès gallery and Marc Donnadieu, this exceptional retrospective takes you on a journey through time through his poetic and romantic paintings.
