A good dose of humor, a large space left to theater, a zest of musical discoveries and a clever balance between novelties and habits. These are the ingredients of the menu which will be offered at the Saint-Imier Culture and Leisure Center (CCL) this next semester. But that’s not all. Because Patrick Domon and Vérène Girod, presenters in place at the CCL, have, as is often the case, used their brains and their relationships to give an original and unique touch to the program.
Card for Marie-Thérèse Porchet
This is how the 10e edition of the highly anticipated comedy weekend (March 14 to 16) will not only be on stage, but also on the walls. Indeed, thanks to a collaboration with the Press Cartoon House in Morges, caricatures produced in 2024 by French-speaking big names in the specialty (Barrigue, Caro, Pitch, Pigr and Chappatte) as well as by lesser-known cartoonists will be exhibited. at the performance hall.
Another daring step: the protagonists of the Saturday of this comedy weekend – the Quebecer of origin Vanessa Lépine and the Genevan Julie Conti – were invited by the CCL to perform as a duo. “They know each other and happily accepted,” says Patrick Domon, who is delighted to discover the proposal from these two rising stars of the French-speaking scene. On the other hand, there’s no longer any need to fight to go see Marie-Thérèse Porchet on March 14: it’s full. But there are still tickets for the family show on Sunday, performed by the clown Antonin Wicky.
As for the rest of the season, the public will be able to enjoy an exhibition by photomontage masters Plonk and Replonk. Here again, part of the work will be specially designed on the basis of archive photographs of Saint-Imier, at the initiative of the CCL.
-Laura Chaignat in the game
On the theater side, we can notably discover the creation of the Compagnie Faune de Flèches I’m hungry for love but I think it’ll be easier to make pasta (which received the support of the Label Plus romand for the performing arts), that of the Compagnie du Chalet Le voyage d’Adam, or even Adriennea piece by the Jura company En Boîte created during the last Espacestand festival. As for comedian Laura Chaignat, she will come to present her latest show.
Finally, Jeudrelive will be an opportunity to discover varied musical universes, between the speaking-singing of the female quartet La Meute, the gentleness of Billie Bird and the Knobil phenomenon. Enough to satisfy a public which, last year, attended the various events in large numbers, according to Patrick Domon.
