breeds, Dragon Ball introduced a bunch of them. And with Dragon Ball Daimathe franchise is adding several new ones to its catalog. Despite everything, which is the most powerful race? Saiyans, Nameks, Angels, it’s difficult to see clearly until all these little people have faced each other in a cosmic Battle Royale. However, by examining the entirety of Dragon Ball to date, it is possible to draw several answers. And unfortunately, no surprise in first place.
#9 Les Megaths
Introduced in Dragon Ball Daima, Megaths, giant Orange humanoids, are extremely powerful beings from the Demon Realm. Although the full extent of their strength has yet to be revealed, the mere fact that a young Megath is able to rival Goku in Super Saiyan form, while remaining unmoved by Vegeta and Piccolo’s attacks, suggests that They are particularly formidable. And according to Neva, adult Megaths are even more powerful. A breed to watch closely.
#8 The Gigaths
Also originating from the Demon Realm, the Gigaths are even larger and more powerful than the Megaths. Although the Gigaths have not yet been highlighted by Dragon Ball Daimait is possible that our heroes will make a stop by the planet Giga. And according to Neva, they will have a lot to do. Even larger than the Megaths, the Gigaths present themselves as members of a powerful race, to what extent remains to be seen.
#7 Frieza and Cooler’s race
Little is known of Frieza and Cooler’s race. Although Frieza is extremely powerful, to the point of defeating Goku and Vegeta with a single punch at the end of the Granola arc of Dragon Ball Super. But Frieza is an exception. A mutant of his own race, whose abilities far exceed those of his peers. It is therefore difficult to generalize his case. Still, just for Frieza’s existence alone, his race clearly deserves its place in this ranking.
#6 The Saiyans
Our good Saiyans are only in fifth place. And for good reason, even if Goku and Vegeta are extremely powerful, the rest of the Saiyans do not possess a remarkable level of power. Super Saiyan transformations are not accessible to everyone, their potential for evolution is therefore limited to a few individuals. And in Dragon Ball, the competition is tough. The Saiyans therefore find themselves in 4th place.
#5 Les Nameks
Creation of Dragon Balls, fusion, regeneration of lost limbs, lengthening of limbs, the Nameks have enormous potential. A breed capable of feats which continues to surprise, several decades after their presentation in Dragon Ball. Most recently, Piccolo was able to transform into Orange Piccolo after unlocking his full potential, testament to the race’s vast abilities.

#4 Les Glinds
Even if the full extent of their abilities have not been revealed, the Glind race is undoubtedly one of the most powerful races in Dragon Ball. With Dragon Ball DaimaAkira Toriyama allowed us to learn more about this breed. A race from which the Kaiô Shins, creators and protectors of the universes, come, and that means something.
#3 The race of Beerus and Champa
Not much is known about the race of Beerus and Champa. But given that the only two representatives of this race are both Gods of Destruction, it’s hard not to place it (almost) at the top of the power rankings. However, it is possible that Beerus and Champa are also exceptions. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt, as both beings had the opportunity to showcase their power, especially Beerus.
#2 The Angels
Deities originating from the Kingdom of Angels, the Angels are undoubtedly from one of the most powerful races of Dragon Ball. According to Beerus, Angels use the transcendental reflex all the time, just that. They are capable of resurrecting the dead, and notably train two Gods of Destruction, Beerus and Champa when the High Priest is close to Zen’ô. A mysterious race that could reveal itself more in the sequel to Dragon Ball. For now, we just know that they are extremely powerful.
#1 The Race of Zen’ô
Sovereign of the 12 universes, Zen’ô is the absolute being of Dragon Ball. Above all, he is the most powerful character in Dragon Ball. A deity about whom we ultimately know little, often narrated by other characters. According to Beerus and Whis, Zen’ô destroyed 6 Universes only because he was in a bad mood during Time Immemorial. If he doesn’t like a world, he can destroy it using Erasure, a power that also allows him to erase a person instantly. In addition to being immensely powerful, Zen’ô seems invincible. According to Kaiô Shin, when Zamasu killed all the gods, Zen’ô remained the only being that Zamasu could not have killed. But does Zen’ô really have a race or is he a singular creature? Mystery.
