Night Banks always arrives at the right time, in the depths of winter. The free and friendly event is reaching its 16th edition this year and takes place from January 30 to February 2, 2025. “This is the 16th edition. It was very rock at the start, but we want to be the meeting place for all music,” explains Mathieu Dorval, director of the Cultural Workshop. This edition will again take place over four days. Two in Landerneau, Friday and Saturday, then the other two days, Thursday and Sunday, in Daoulas, La Forest-Landerneau, Logonna-Daoulas, Loperhet, Pencran and Le Tréhou.

Culture bistro

“There are 48 groups, more than 130 artists, 23 places in seven municipalities,” begins Mathieu Dorval, director of the Cultural Workshop, who manages to find something in common: “An ability to know how to party. » Beyond the diversity of musical styles offered, the organizers are keen to attract all audiences. Particularly the little ones, with two meetings made for them: Grand Môme at the Blackrock at 4 p.m. and the Ty’Per at the Keranden manor at 5:30 p.m. “The idea is also to transmit the culture of the bistro, which is a place of conviviality before being a place of consumption”, defends Nolwenn Kergoat, from Blackrock, ex-Réveil Matin.

200 groups applied this year

The Qhuit collective also risks upsetting the Central public. “Basically, it’s a clothing brand,” explains Alexandre Le Vourc’h, owner of the bar. “Their store is the former Daft Punk studio. » The hip-hop group, which doesn’t just do sweaters, will send out the sauce at 9 p.m. on February 1. For fans of rap in Breton – rare enough to underline it – Keltia returns to the hands of the group Sal and Soucré, at 10 p.m. on January 31. And if techno sounds are your thing, the Brigade Sonore will come down from its Mont-D’Arrée to take over the Demi-Lune on January 31 at 9 p.m.

A curiosity that should not be missed: Bard Box, at the Le XV bar, at 9 p.m., February 1st. “I improvise, I loop sounds live,” explains the artist, “My record is five hours without getting off stage. » This year 200 groups applied to play at Rives de nuit. “We do not want greater expansion but rather broaden the audience and offer a multitude of different listening conditions at the same event,” concludes Mathieu Dorval.
